Short biography

Dr. Jiayi Ma is a Full Professor with the Electronic Information School, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. He received the B.S. degree in Information and Computing Science and the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2008 and 2014, respectively.

He was an exchange student in the Department of Statistics at UCLA from September 2012 to September 2013, supervised by Prof. Alan L. Yuille. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Wuhan University from August 2014 to May 2016, and was promoted to Associate Professor and Full Professor in June 2016 and December 2018.

He has received several best paper awards, including the IEEE SPS Best Paper Award 2025, Information Fusion Best Paper Award 2024, and Hsue-shen Tsien Paper Award 2023.
